Some Explaining

Needless to say, this roleplay has been declared dead in absentia for a while now. There are a couple reasons for it. One of them is that I'm in high school now. I already have so, SO many personal things going on in my life that I just didn't have the time or motivation to check the blog every day and write for the roleplay. I would approve comments and then, before I replied, just meander and do other things until I ended up closing the blog tab and logging off for the day.
But the other reason is that this roleplay didn't go the way I had first envisioned it to. I got different ideas for the story, the mechanics were changed time and time again, and it just devolved into something much more clunky and hastily glued together than what I intended it to be. I have basically written the entirety of the plot for arcs 2 and 3, but they stray so far from what we currently have going on that they seem foreign and out of place. It turns out that what I had first schemed up as a good basis for what I want to create was more of a dead end than I thought.

So, at this point, you're probably asking - after all the times that this roleplay (and many of my other projects for that matter) has been shut down and reactivated - what is going to happen now? As far as I am concerned, this roleplay is going to remain dead. However, I currently have another roleplay in the works similar to this one. With my new passion project, I hope to create something much more close to my original idea and more based on the gameplay of Dungeons & Dragons.
It will follow a completely separate story and it will take place on land rather than underwater, as I have found that gives more opportunities for an enthralling story. It will not run on a blog, and will instead be based on a Discord server. I won't spill a lot since it's still very much a work in progress, but I can offer a few details.

- I have a couple other people helping me work on this, so it'll be less of a hassle for me to manage.

- Rather than a bunch of quests for you to do solo, you will make your character and join/form a party with a total of 3 - 6 people in it. These are your party members, and you will collectively embark on a campaign separate from the rest of the roleplay members. Right now, we only have one type of story for you to play through, but we may consider adding multiple options for your campaign's story later.

- If you so desire, you may create up to 2 characters, though they must be in separate campaigns.

- If your character dies, you don't have to be dead forever. If you want, you can be resurrected under some circumstances, you can live on as a possessed object, make a new character, or more.

This blog will stay up for now, but I will likely repurpose it when the roleplay is finished sometime in the future. I'm open for suggestions and questions.

Quest #2 and Ability Updates

Because Quest #2 is probably the worst and most boring of our current lineup of quests, I am (temporarily) removing it. I'll probably write a new and more interesting one to take its place, but for now, anyone who finishes Quest #1 will get a boost in XP to make up for the lack of Quest #2 and can go straight to #3. The numbering will not be changed on the quest names as there will be a replacement.
On another note, I'll be refining ability descriptions and adding them to a Google Docs like everything else because it's easier to edit, and also because I want to list proper and more specific details about what each ability actually does. Expect those to come shortly.

Suggestions

I've been spending these last few days polishing upcoming features, specifically ones that will be released alongside new quests. Quest #5 will unlock a new and expansive interactive area with many things to do, such as new shops, new skills to learn, and more.
Quest #7 will also unlock another interactive area that I've had a lot of fun making simply because of the setting and characterization of it. However, as time goes on, I'll be running out of ideas for features to add. So I'd like to ask now what kind of suggestions you guys would like to see featured. Whether they simply be ideas for new abilities, classes, or even new features altogether, let me know.

More Updates

Update #1

The Spellbook Menu has been made. Any characters who are mystics or who have a spellbook can have up to 4 spells. More is explained in a document posted in the Mystic section of the joining page.

Update #2

The inventory will be getting updated. The characters page is kind of cluttered and that makes it difficult to actually view what items are in your inventory, so the inventory will now be split into 3 "pockets" - your standard inventory, armory, and quest items. The basic inventory will get a capacity downgrade to 30 items to balance things out.
Armory is for all your weapons, armor, and tools, quest items are for all items you receive that are required for quests (they cannot be lost, sold, traded, or broken, but some of them can be crafted (only into other quest items)), and your standard inventory is for every other item. Below is a very standard example of what it would look like.

Update Notes 30/07/2017

Update #1

The Hidden Stats page has been added. It explains the strengths and weaknesses of each class as well as what each stat calculates and how it can be altered. It can currently only be viewed through the Joining page.

Update #2

Quest #5 is done and I'm beginning to work on Quest #6 and early parts of arc 2. I'm getting restless so here are some screenshots from what will be here soon.

Chat Room Voting

How interested would you guys be if I made a live chat box for the website? It would make communication easier and may draw more attention to the blog. It could also possibly replace the side roleplay page (likely not) or simply make it easier.
